TSM support Vincent “Biofrost” Wang and Giants mid laner Gun-woo “Night” Na were named rookies of the split in their respective regions after strong seasons for each of them.

This comes after a dominating split for Biofrost, in which he helped TSM to a 17-1 record and a spot in the finals of the NALCS. After replacing veteran support Bora “Yellowstar” Kim, Biofrost was not expected to be up to the quality of his star teammates in his first split. However, he performed far beyond expectations and earned a spot on the NALCS All-Pro first team.

Night not only stepped in as a rookie to Giants and made the EULCS All-Pro first team, but he led the squad to the playoffs a split removed from the bottom of the standings after replacing Isaac “Xpepii” Flores. Though his team was upset in the first round by the Unicorns of Love they still had a marked improvement from last season.

In North America, Phoenix1 jungler Rami “Inori” Charagh came in second, while Apex’s top laner Jeon “Ray” Ji-won placed third. In Europe, Splyce support Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle was a close second and Night’s teammate jungler Nubar “Maxlore” Sarafian was third.

The MVP of the split will be announced during the finals weekends of each of the leagues.
