It was announced yesterday evening on the eSports Industry Awards the Team EnVy have been awarded the honour of “eSports Team of The Year”.
EnVy truly climbed to the top this year after wide array of success in 2016. Their Counter Strike:Global Offensive team broke a long tournament drought by winning the GFinity Invitational in September, also the Halo squad having consistent placements as well as winning HCS Las Vegas this past weekend. Not to mention EnVy’s Overwatch team dominating the game as long as it has been out, and the emergence of their Gears of War team to boot. But what really pushed EnVy to the top, was the capturing of the Call of Duty World Championship, something that owner Mike “Hastro” Rufail has longed for the most. The success for this organization will only continue grow as the 2017 season comes around, so expect Team EnVyUs to be dominant as usual in the scene come next year.
