According to an Inven article, translated by theScore esports, Challengers Korea side SBENU were disbanded on October 5, despite undergoing preparations for the upcoming 2016 KeSPA Cup in November.

“The disbanding happened all too suddenly,” SBENU coach Park Jae-suk told Inven. “So, all the scrims that were scheduled have been cancelled on short notice and we’ve had to withdraw out of the 2016 LoL KeSPA Cup which opens in November. Our next move will be to try our best to help our players new teams.”

Despite winning the Challengers Korea Summer Split, SBENU failed to qualify to the 2017 LCK Spring Split, after losing 2-1 to ESC Ever and 2-0 to CJ Entus in the Promotion Tournament.

SBENU’s rosterconsisted of top laners Min “Mimic” Ju-seong, Seo “Soul” Hyeon-seok, jungler Sung “Flawless” Yeon-jun, mid laner Lee “reM” Hyeon-seo, AD carry Sin “Nuclear” Jeong-hyeon and support Son “Lehends” Si-woo. It is currently unknown which teams the players will be joining for the 2017 Season.
