After losing last week 3-0 against Cloud 9 Challenger in the 2016 North American Challenger Series Summer Split semi-finals, which automatically meant that the team won’t participate in the upcoming 2017 LCS Spring Promotion Tournament, all five Dream Team’s players have now announced on their personal Twitter account that they are looking for new teams.

On July 16th, support Tore “Norskeren” Hoel Eilertsen and jungler Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham were the first ones to let  their departure from the organization. Top laner Andy “Chorong” Hoang followed his now former teammates’ steps yesterday, and today, mid laner Isaac “Pekin Woof” Marconis and ADC Li Yu “Massacre” Sun were the last two to make public that they are now team less and looking for new opportunities.

Dream Team finished the NA Challenger Series placed 3rd-4th, after finishing the regular season fourth with a 1-3-1 record, which was marked by the departure of support John “Papa Chau” Le, suspended for three months after getting caught elo-boosting, and coach Ram “Brokenshard” Djemal , who announced on June 25th that he wanted to “take a break from League.” The Israeli however rejoined the organization less than two weeks later as a subsitute.

Despite having secured a spot in next spring’s Challenger Series, it is currently unknown however whether the organization will sign another roster under its banner or sell their spot.

Closing this split’s NA CS, Cloud 9 Challenger and Team Liquid Academy will be facing each other at the finals later tonight at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PDT.
