UMG has announced an online Search and Destroy tournament in memory of Phillip “PHiZZURP” Klemenov. The organization plans to make this a annual event to honor his impact on the community, especially within the SnD community. A prize of $10,000 is up for grabs. This memorial tournament will be taking place October 16th.

Phillip “PHiZZurp” Klemenov passed away in a car crash earlier last week. PHiZZURP was only 23 years old. His partner, Adrianna Lemus, posted a video to social media describing the accident:

Phil lost control of the car. We flipped into a pole and through three trees. I was the only one that was conscious so I crawled out of the car and I tried to pull him out. We got to the hospital and his best friend was dead. And they tried to help Phil but they couldn’t. He died in my arms, and I just want to let you guys know he was a great guy and he didn’t deserve it.

There are speculations surrounding the conditions leading up to this accident. The Aurora Police Department’s investigation into the crash is ongoing. In respect to PHiZZURP, Adrianna Lemus, and all other friends and family, I will not release information regarding unconfirmed speculation.

PHiZZURP has been a veteran in the Call Of Duty competitive scene since 2011 when he joined Team FeaR. He has been an inspiration to all those around him and his impact within the community will never be forgotten. SplitPush’s condolences go out to his family, as well as the family of his friend who also passed away that sad day. They both were taken too soon, and will be missed.
